a baby boy of 4 yrs havinfg problem of excessive urination and itching on penis since 4-5 days ,is this paediatric  UTI or something else.? what is the treatment for this?

excessive urination can be a sign of diabetes. so consult your doctor for perfect dignosis. burning micturation ,less urination and fever are the common sign of uti.

Dear Harmandip, first check the urine and blood for sugar. In between give him haldi and amalki 1-1gm thrice a day. Please don't give milk, sweats, almond, fruit or juice, etc.

**aggravated Pitta produces heating toxins in the body which accumulate in the mutra vahi strota (urinary channels) causes UTI.
*Lifestyle :
*Mental feelings like excessive stress and anger are to be controlled.
* Not to sleep excessively in the daytime after eating.
* To go to bed early and get enough sleep at night
* Not to expose to sun and heat excessively
* Wear loose-fitting and cotton clothes.
Diet :
* Drink plenty of water as it cleanses your body by diluting and flushing out the unwanted substance.
* Take Vitamin C rich diet as it prevents the bacterial growth due to the acidic environment created in the bladder and the urinary tract.
* Avoid processed food like cheese, chocolate and dairy products.
* Do not take spicy food, caffeine, alcohol and cigarettes.
* Not to take carbonated drinks like beer, soda or any other drink with fizz.
* Avoid foods and drinks that are difficult to digest like white flour products.
Herbal supplements:
Ayurvedic herbs like Gokshura,Punarnava,Guduchi,Chandan are the effective natural cures.
Yoga:

Gomukhasana,Pawanmuktasana,Ardha Matsendra Asana are few useful yogic practices to fight UTI.

itching at genitals is something can be easily handled. children having common diseases to be looked  of- 1urethrits -having  urination  with    burning sensation during  micturation.. 2.nephritis-blood in urine macroscopic as well as microscopic. 3.nephyrotic syndrom.-albuminuria ; After looking for it pt.to be given chandraprabha vatti urinlysis-will help and other investigation will help for conclusion in this case.
