hi doc., this is dr. ishu arora the arachnoid cyst can be best treated by KANCHNAR & RAS AUSHADHIS. 1.YOU CAN GIVE THE PATIENT-TAMRA BHASMA, SHILA SINDOOR,RAS MANIKYA in 2-3 gms. each(these will do chhedan) & RAJAT BHASMA 4 gms.,then mix it with 40 gms. of kanchnar guggulu(after making the powder of the tablets). your total will be about 50 gms. give the patient 2 gms. twice a day with honey as sehpaan & dashmool kwath as anupaan empty stomach. 2.PUNARNAVADI MANDOOR 1 tablet twice a day shold be given to detoxify the body by diuresis. 3.arogyavardhini vati given 2 tablets twice a day will also be helpful. take him for RAKT MOKSHAN & advice him to do KAPALA BHATI PRANAYAAM. which will increase the metabolism of the body & helps in reducing aNY GROWTH IN THE BODY. Vikrant. your question is treatment for archanoid cyst. As per Ayurvedic this may be Granthi. Kanchanar is the spesific medicine for Granthi. I would like to suggest Gaytarin tab. (Arya Aushadhi Pharmaceuticals Indore). This contains Kanchaar + varunadi gan quath,Trifala quath,+ praval pisti and rasmanikya. Dose is 2 tab. thrice a day with warm water. + Arogyavardhini vat 2 tab. thrice a day with warm water. + Abhyag swedan + Blood letting + Shirodhara according to the advice of Panchkarma Specialist. Dietary restrictions as per advice of the expert physician |

*size of the cyst?? If the cyst is small,not disturbing surrounding tissue,and not causing symptoms,some will refrain from treatment but progressive expansion may cause permanent severe neurological damage. (tell him about the pros and cons)
